About Al Jiyad Stables

Founded in 1988 by Mr. Ali Mohammed Al Marzooqi, Al Jiyad Stables is a family-owned and operated equestrian facility located on Al Qudra Road, Dubai. Rooted in deep Emirati traditions and a lifelong passion for horses, our stables reflect the heart of ethical horse riding in the UAE.

Originally a private stable, Al Jiyad opened to the public in 2003 as a certified riding school in Dubai, inviting visitors from around the world to experience the beauty of the desert through guided trail rides and expert instruction in horsemanship. Our school is fully approved by the Emirates Equestrian Federation, ensuring professional standards and top-level horse care.

Our legacy lives on through the achievements of Mr. Ali’s children. His son, Hussain Ali Al Marzooqi, was the youngest endurance trainer registered in the UAE and crowned Junior World Endurance Champion in 2009, while his daughter, Aliya Ali Al Marzooqi first female Emirati rider in Dubai, won national titles in bareback racing in both 2005 and 2013. Today, we continue to train both horses and riders with the same care, precision, and dedication that define Emirati equestrian culture.

Located inside the Saih Al Salam nature reserve, Al Jiyad offers a truly unique Dubai desert riding experience. Riders often spot Arabian Gazelles, desert foxes, Arabian oryxes and plenty of different native and migratory birds along scenic desert paths. For those seeking a deeper connection to the land, we also provide camel riding tours in Dubai, featuring native camels—many of which are bred on-site and perfectly acclimated to the desert environment. With the support of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Al Jiyad Stables continues to grow as a hub for eco-tourism, horse riding, and camel experiences. Whether you're a first-time rider or a seasoned equestrian, you'll find more than just horses here—you'll discover heritage, adventure, and the soul of the desert.

Registered as a Certified Riding School at the Emirates Equestrian Federation

Our approval by the Emirates Equestrian Federation confirms that we meet the highest national standards for professionalism, safety, and horse welfare. It ensures that our instructors, facilities, and training programs are officially recognized, offering riders a trusted and certified equestrian experience.
